A step-by-step guide to creating your first sell listing on CFS Community.
Before You Start: Eligibility
You must be Trust Level 2 (Member) to post in WTS. This is not optional — it is our first line of defense against scam accounts.
If you are new to CFS, here is how to reach Trust Level 2:
- Complete your profile — add an avatar, bio, and location.
- Read the community rules — start with the Rules category. Read thoroughly.
- Participate genuinely — post in WTB, Intelligence, or Lounge. Reply to other members. Browse listings. The system tracks your reading time, topics entered, and engagement.
- Maintain a minimum account age of 15 days — TL2 cannot be rushed. This is intentional.
Once you reach TL2, the option to create a WTS listing becomes available automatically.
Step 1: Use the WTS Wizard
Do not create a manual topic in the WTS category. All WTS listings are created through the WTS Wizard, a structured 6-step form that guides you through every required field.
The Wizard ensures every listing meets CFS quality standards. It collects all required information, validates your inputs at each step, and generates a properly formatted post automatically.
To start the Wizard, navigate to the WTS category and click “New Listing”.
Step 2: What the Wizard Collects
The Wizard walks you through six steps. Here is what each step covers:
Step 1 — Product Identification
- Item / Character Name (e.g., Goku Ultra Instinct)
- IP / Franchise (e.g., Dragon Ball)
- Studio / Manufacturer (e.g., Jimei Palace)
- Scale (e.g., 1/4, 1/6)
- Edition information (e.g., Regular, EX, Damage, etc.)
The wizard guides you: “The more accurate you are, the faster buyers will find you.”
Step 2 — Condition
Select one of the following condition grades. Be honest — accurate condition disclosure prevents disputes and builds your reputation:
- Mint in Box (MIB): Sealed, never opened. Box in original condition.
- Opened / Complete: Opened for inspection or display, all parts and packaging accounted for, no visible wear.
- Displayed: Has been displayed. May show minor dust, micro-scratches, or shelf wear. All parts present.
- Damaged / Repaired: Has visible damage, repairs, missing parts, or significant wear. Full disclosure required.
You must also declare authenticity status: Authentic, Recast/Bootleg, or Unknown/Cannot Verify. Note: bootleg/recast items are a permanent ban under CFS rules. Do not list them.
Step 3 — Price
- Asking price in USD (or your stated currency). Enter your real asking price — no “DM for price,” no reserve pricing.
- Specify whether price includes shipping or not.
- Payment method: PayPal Goods & Services only. No exceptions. No Friends & Family. Ever.
The wizard reminds you: “Set a fair price. PayPal G&S is strongly recommended.”
Step 4 — Location & Shipping
- Your country / region (e.g., CA, USA)
- Who pays shipping — seller, buyer, or split
- Shipping method options you are willing to use
- Willingness to ship internationally — yes or no
Be clear here. The wizard notes: “Shipping fragile statues is the #1 source of disputes. Be clear about your location and shipping options.”
Step 5 — Photos
This is critical. Photos are your proof of ownership and condition.
Minimum required photos:
| Photo | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Box front | Confirms you have the original packaging |
| Figure front (full body) | Shows overall condition |
| Figure back (full body) | Shows condition from all angles |
| Any damage or repairs | Required if condition is Displayed or Damaged |
Additional requirements:
- Timestamp photo is MANDATORY — a photo of the figure with a handwritten note showing your CFS username and current date. This cannot be skipped. This single requirement filters out the majority of stolen-photo scams common on Facebook groups and Discord.
- Minimum 3 photos total (we recommend 4+). You cannot proceed without meeting the minimum.
- Maximum 20 photos per listing.
- Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP. Maximum 10MB per image.
- If you declared damage or repairs in Step 2, you must upload clear close-up photos of all imperfections. This is conditionally required and cannot be bypassed.
Recommended photo checklist: Front full body, back full body, edition plate/nameplate, any defect close-ups, original box and shipper box.
Step 6 — Review & Submit
The wizard displays a full preview of your listing as it will appear to buyers. Review every field carefully.
- You may add Additional Notes (up to 2,000 characters) — purchase history, reason for selling, willingness to trade, etc.
- You must check the Community Rules Agreement: “I confirm this listing is accurate and I agree to the CFS Community Trading Rules.”
Once you click Publish Listing, your post goes live.
What Happens After Submission
Your listing is published immediately in the WTS category as a fully structured, formatted post. It will display your item photos, price, location, and condition tags directly in the topic list — buyers can assess your listing without clicking in.
Bump Rules
- You may bump your listing once every 7 days maximum. Do not reply to your own post repeatedly to push it to the top.
- Discourse’s topic timer enforces this. Excessive bumping is not possible and attempting workarounds may result in a warning.
Your Listing in Search
- Your listing is visible to all visitors, including non-registered users. This is intentional — it helps buyers find your item via search engines and increases your exposure.
Closing a Deal
When your item sells:
- Edit your topic title and add [SOLD] at the beginning (e.g.,
[SOLD] Goku UI 1/4 — Jimei Palace) - Alternatively, reply to your own topic with the word SOLD
Sold listings are never deleted. They remain searchable as price reference data for the community. In the topic list, sold items are visually distinguished so active listings stand out.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Skipping the timestamp photo. This is the single most important trust signal in your listing. No timestamp, no credibility.
- Vague condition descriptions. “Good condition” means nothing. Use the defined grades and disclose every imperfection. Disputes from undisclosed damage will cost you your reputation.
- Listing at an inflated price with “OBO” or “make an offer.” Post your real asking price. CFS is not an auction site.
- Forgetting to specify who pays shipping. This is the #1 source of post-deal arguments. State it clearly upfront.
- Using Friends & Family. Even if the buyer suggests it. PayPal G&S is the only accepted method. Violations result in enforcement action.
- Posting duplicate listings for the same item. One item, one listing. If you need to change the price or details, edit the existing post.
- Neglecting to mark items as sold. If your item has sold, close the listing. Leaving stale listings active wastes everyone’s time.
- Soliciting off-platform deals. Keep all transaction discussions on CFS. Moving conversations to WhatsApp, WeChat, or DMs on other platforms to avoid accountability is a violation.
